Attend the Florida 1.27 Church Advocate Clinic on September 8 and 9 in Tampa, FL
Without enough foster and adoptive families to care for its vulnerable children, Florida’s child welfare system remains in a crisis.
Churches want to be part of the solution to this crisis, but working with the Florida child welfare system can be complex. Launching and growing a Foster and Adoptive Care Ministry within your church can be challenging, too.
Florida 1.27 is responding to this challenge by training volunteers who are ready and willing to help. Levering national best practices in both church ministry and child welfare, Florida 1.27 utilizes a proven model, Live The Promise: FL to equip churches to flood the foster care and adoption system with well-trained and well-supported foster and adoptive families.
Advocates serving as volunteers within a local church is the key to helping to solve this crisis. The Florida 1.27 Church Advocate Clinic provides individuals with detailed training on how to begin and maintain a thriving Foster Care and Adoption Ministry within their local church.
Attendees will learn about:
- Roles local churches can fulfill
- Creating awareness
- Forming and launching Community Care Teams to support Foster and Adoptive families
- Working with the Florida child welfare system
After training, Florida 1.27 provides each advocate with continued support and resources.
